Reuse is about being safe, resourceful, and respectful, to the planet and to each other. We’re wishing you and your family well during these times. Thank you for checking out our latest updates!
Finger Lakes ReUse is an essential business, as a provider of essential goods, a component of local materials management, and a service provider through our ReUse Materials Access Program. Since closing our ReUse Centers to the public voluntarily, we have been developing new ways (at safe distances!) to offer our essential reuse services.
Check out a summary of our latest updates:
Safety above all:
We now have Safety Plans available at our active locations, meeting the latest NYS guidance for retail safety measures. We ask that shoppers do not come to our ReUse Centers if experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms, or have recently had a fever. We are requiring face masks and distancing at all times. Thank you for staying safe with us!
With our previous announcements that the new ReUse Community Hardware is open and the Ithaca ReUse Center and Triphammer ReUse Center are both open, we now have a convenient page on our website where you can make appointments to shop: https://ithacareuse.org/shop/.
Have materials to donate?
We are still offering pickups of items that can be available on a covered front porch, inside a garage with the door open or on the driveway under a tarp when we arrive, now for a $40 fee. Fill out our pickup request form at https://ithacareuse.org/pickup/. We are not allowing our workers to enter homes or be in proximity of donors and appreciate your cooperation with this. Donation drop-offs at our ReUse Centers will be available soon – stay tuned.
Helping Families In Need
We are still offering our ReUse Materials Access Program – giving people in need access to free local materials. More information on that program at https://ithacareuse.org/remap/.
With our new online shop, we’re offering local reuse 24/7. Curbside pick-up is now at Triphammer ReUse Center – shop from the comfort of your own home at shop.ithacareuse.org.
We are now hiring for the position of Retail Assistant – check out the application details at https://ithacareuse.org/employment/.
Thank you for taking the time to read our updates, and for supporting us in these new ways!
