Thank you to all who attended the ReUse Town Hall on March 11th at Cinemapolis. More than 50 people joined ReUse staff and panel speakers in a conversation about local reuse efforts and impacts.

This event would not have been possible without collaboration with Cornell Roy H. Park Leadership Fellowship Program students who hosted and helped to organize the ReUse Town Hall: Priyasha Chaturvedi, Annie Fothergill and Ryan Michael Moran.

The conference was made possible through the generous support of  the Tompkins County Recycling and Materials Management Division and the Park Foundation. We would also like to thank Cinemapolis for allowing us to use their space for the event.

We were particularly excited about the Q&A with our conference panel that explored the different aspects of ReUse which included insight into this shifting landscape by our own Executive Director, Diane Cohen as well as the guest speakers and presenters, Aloja Airewele, Energy Warriors Coordinator at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County; Lori Leonard, Professor of Sociology at Cornell University; Gertrude Noden, Founder of Words into Deeds, and Hanif Solomon, Finger Lakes ReUse ReSET Apprentice.

Attendees ask the Town Hall panel questions.
