Isaac started at ReUse as a ReSET Apprentice last year. They were recently hired to be a Retail Assistant.

What drew you to working at ReUse & How long have you been working at ReUse?
The idea of reusing stuff and keeping items out of the landfill as well as the community involvement is what drew me. I was hired as a ReSET apprentice in July 2022. On May 9th 2023, I was hired on permanently as a retail assistant for the Triphammer ReUse MegaCenter location.

What is your favorite part of working at ReUse?
The people I work with. Everyone I work with is always in good spirits. I really like the training I got as an apprentice and all the departments I got to be in while training. I really look forward to coming to work.

What do you feel you bring to the ReUse team?
I bring a hardworking, great attitude to work every day. I am honest, I am kind to others and I have a sense of compassion for our community.

Tell us a few fun facts about yourself!
I have twin 12 year olds. I was in the Air Force from 1998 – 2002 and I attend The Vineyard Church and do sound for them from time to time, and I live in Danby
where I grew up.

How do you see the impacts of our mission statement in your work?

Enhancing…. Community: The people who come to donation intake everyday providing affordable reused items for other in the community.

Economy: Keeping quality items out of the landfill allows others to purchase at a discounted rate and re-use affecting our economy substantially.

Environment: Keeping items out of the landfill is better for the environment and reduces greenhouse gasses, also prevents things from being burned.
