Finger Lakes ReUse Hosting A Valentine’s Day Creative ReUse Workshop

ITHACA, NY… Finger Lakes ReUse, a not-for-profit organization committed to turning would-be waste into local resources, invites the public to “Create Love”, a Creative ReUse Workshop at Ithaca ReUse Center (214 Elmira Road, Ithaca, NY) on Thursday, February 6th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

This free Creative ReUse Workshop to make a gift for that special someone or something cool for themselves with unique ReUse finds. Local artists will be on-hand to share crafting techniques, including how to make cards and envelopes out of a wide variety of inspiring papers (a great way to use expired wall calendars!), flag chains, keychains gift boxes and more. All materials are free and will be provided by Finger Lakes ReUse, and include many eclectic, intriguing and surprising “hard-to-reuse” items, including vinyl album covers, book pages, textiles, craft papers, and more.

The workshop is free and open to everyone, no registration necessary. Parental supervision is required for younger children.

Ithaca ReUse Center will be open during the event for all your reuse shopping needs.

Creative ReUse events are made possible by generous support from the Park Foundation and the Tompkins County Recycling and Materials Management Department.
