Do you need assistance getting something fixed yourself? Want to share your repair skills? Come bring your devices/projects to the Sustainability Center gallery in the Ithaca ReUse Center between 3pm-5pm every Saturday. Have fun and collaborate with other fix-it-yourself enthusiasts!
About the Fixers Collective
Finger Lakes ReUse invites anyone who has things to fix, wants to help fix items, and/or wants to learn how to repair items to join our new Ithaca Fixers Collective. This is an informal and fun gathering of folks who want to prolong the lifespan of household items such as home electronics, furniture, small appliances and more, while sharing skills and resources in a fun and relaxing setting.
Fill out the Survey to let us know if you are interested in attending or in learning more, but you are welcome to just show – and we’ll keep you posted on our email list. In our first official “fixing session” we fixed a therapeutic paraffin melter, a kitchen mixer, an inkjet printer, an antique floor lamp, a sewing machine, and even darned a hole in a knit hat! Your project should be something you can carry in, and carry back out. Check out (and like!) our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ithacafixers
