Finger Lakes ReUse is holding a 24-hour online Giving Tuesday campaign on Tuesday, November 30. Giving Tuesday is an international day of giving to non-profit organizations. About the ReUse Materials Access Program (ReMAP)

Started in 2017, ReMAP helps community members in need by providing them with ReUse gift cards and delivery to get them the materials they need in a time of crisis.

This year, we have helped over 300 local households and 14 local organizations acquire furniture, household goods, appliances, electronics, and many more necessities. Our program is a vital community resource for local families. Your contribution to this program makes an immediate impact, helping local families get needed materials and free delivery to their door within Tompkins County.

We partner with over 30 human services agencies in the region to refer their clients to us when they have a need, whether it be for winter clothes, furniture to fill a home, or a computer to join a school program. Every dollar donated to the ReUse Materials Access Program is matched in-kind by Finger Lakes ReUse, doubling the impact of your donation.

Sciencenter Take Apart Program

ReMAP partnered with the Sciencenter’s Take Apart Program, providing used and in-need-of-repair electronics for children to take apart, learning about how they work and basic repair skills in the process.

Urban 4-H ReUse Fashion Show

ReMAP partnered with Ithaca Urban 4-H to put on a ReUse Fashion Show following a tour, featuring fabulous clothes from the ReUse MegaCenter. Thanks to Gertrude Noden and Words into Deeds for coordinating this event!

Cornell Circle K Dog Toys for SPCA

ReUse Materials Access Program (ReMAP) provided Cornell’s chapter of Circle K with fabrics for their reuse project: repurposing old fabrics to make them into braided dog toys! The dog toys they made were donated to the Tompkins County SPCA!
