ReUse is always looking for help from our extended community! If you are passionate about reuse, zero-waste alternatives, deconstruction, organizing and sorting, merchandising, or cleaning, – we would love to meet you. If you are a student, a senior, someone who wants to be of service, someone who wants to meet people, or anywhere in between, we have something for you. If you are new to reuse, please fill out the intake form below, otherwise – pick your location, and select your schedule.

Are you passionate about reuse, zero-waste alternatives, organizing and sorting, merchandising, or cleaning? We would love to get to know you during this upcoming series of group events! Come by yourself, bring a friend along, or even a small group! Work closely with staff and eco-minded community members to help sort, price, and display household items, clothes, and more!
Tuesdays at Ithaca ReUse Center (214 Elmira Road) from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Fridays at Triphammer ReUse MegaCenter (2255 N. Triphammer Road) from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

Welcome New Volunteers!
We can accommodate both individual volunteers and group events!
Individual Volunteers:
All individual volunteers are required to attend an orientation, lasting approx. 40 minutes.
Group events:
Groups will have a condensed orientation during their first volunteer event and are not required to attend the orientations mentioned above.

Volunteers can sign up for shifts at Finger Lakes ReUse online for:
- Denailing Project: assist in denailing and processing salvaged lumber for reuse
- Materials Processor: up front in retail or in our warehouse processing donations
- Donations Support: assist in accepting material donations
- Administrative Support
- Research Projects (when available – let us know in the form below that you’re interested and we’ll follow up!)
