Even though the world celebrates Earth Day on April 22nd, every day is Earth Day at Finger Lakes ReUse!

Reuse in action is complex and takes many hands, hearts and minds to successfully enact. We receive, identify, sort, value, clean, test, refurbish, and make items available again for sale, or for free to households in need. ReUse relies on the support of generous community members to keep this uniquely local service available for all.

Kept 772,105 items in local use that may have gone into the landfill.

Welcomed the Community Quilting Center into our ReUse Mega Center Community Space, offering quilting materials and classes to the public free of charge.

Provided 32 nonprofits and community organizations with free materials for community projects and initiatives.

Through the ReUse ReSET (Skills and Employment) job training program, we worked with 19 apprentices and successfully connected 8 to permanent, unsubsidized employment.

Over 2,100 volunteers & 150 groups logged more than 7,500 hours by helping to support both of our Community ReUse Centers last year.

Partnered with Ithaca Rotary Club to help sort and price the overwhelming amount of materials that have been donated, in order to get them on the shelves and back into the community.

Provided 74 employees with a living wage.

Worked with 30 youth workers, through a partnership with YES & SYEP.

Voted as Best Thrift Store in the Ithaca Times Best of Ithaca 2023 awards

Processed 300 computers and 1300 peripherals in our eCenter.
