Exciting Changes Coming To Finger Lakes ReUse
ITHACA, NY — Finger Lakes ReUse (ReUse) is gearing up for exciting changes and will be updating its hours of operation in preparation for an exciting move, starting 5/01/2026.
Effective Friday, May 1st, ReUse’s operating hours at its current locations—the Ithaca ReUse Center and the ReUse MegaCenter—will change.
Shopping hours will be expanded to include 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily at both locations for the first time, with donation hours temporarily reduced from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday through Monday ONLY. Donations acceptance will be temporarily CLOSED on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at both locations. This change, effective Friday, 5/01/2026, will offer more convenient shopping hours and provide ReUse with the opportunity to distribute an increasing backlog of materials generated by this community’s generosity.
ReUse Center Hours: Sun – Sat 10-8
Donation Hours: Fri – Mon 10-4
These changes are to prepare for an upcoming business expansion. ReUse is excited to announce that its Village of Lansing retail operations will be moving to a new, expanded location at the Cayuga Shopping Center (2309 N. Triphammer Road, Ithaca, NY). This move marks a significant milestone in the organization’s mission to enhance community, economy, and environment through reuse in Tompkins County. The anticipated opening date of the Cayuga ReUse Center is summer 2026; stay tuned for more announcements.
Regular sale events offering fresh merchandise and deep discounts will be offered at both locations to help distribute more materials, with new items put out daily. Sale-down of materials at the Triphammer ReUse MegaCenter will start in May as we prepare to move locations. Stay up to date on these deals at ithacareuse.org or by following ReUse on social media at @ithacareuse.
Finger Lakes ReUse would like to deeply thank the owners of Triphammer Marketplace, Kristen and Spencer Kopko, for their generosity and understanding as we make this transition from our original home for the last 17 years, and thank the Thaler family for their support over the years as well.
